mewing, bedroom's
touched by moonlight

I heart this one! I swear. I mean it's like...how are we using our five senses? sometimes it takes something to disappear, something in the foreground(teh cat mewing) before we notice something else with our senses, something in the background which has always been there (teh moonlight). I mean, you can take it like that, and you can also take it as you often take a lot of things for granted things that are in the background.
the mental image is very striking. and it's true isn't it? when a cat mews, all you can do is be fixated or distracted by it, or irritated, but while it's there you forget the beautiful moonlight that's streaming and touching your room - until the mewing disappears, then you realise that moonlight that's been there all along, like a faithful friend.
